A mild steel, all position rod. Use on AC or DC reverse polarity welding current. The strong arc force of the electrode produces deep penetration. Fast freezing or rapid solidification of the metal facilities welding in the vertical and overhead positions. Light slag eliminates slag holes that are prevalent on some applications with other rods. For use in a wide range of applications - plain or galvanized tanks, steel casting repair, machinery parts construction, pressure pipe, ect. Operating Amps: 120-180

A low hydrogen iron powder rod that produces high quality x-ray welds. This rod can be used in all positions on AC or DC reverse polarity welding current. This electrode is recommended for welding hardened steels where no preheat is used and on cold rolled steels normal exhibiting excessive porosity when welded with conventional electrodes. The low hydrogen content of the weld metal produces high strength and toughness. The use of this rod will eliminate cracking down the center of the bead, under bead cracking and peeled welds.
